Ingredients

  • Avocado oil spray
  • 230 g Italian-seasoned sausage, casings removed
  • 120 ml chopped mushrooms
  • 60 ml diced onion
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 235 ml keto-friendly marinara sauce
  • 3 peppers, halved and seeded
  • 85 g low-moisture Mozzarella or other melting cheese, shredded
  • Ninja Double Stack XL 9.5L Air Fryer – SL400

Directions

  1. Spray a large skillet with oil and place it over medium-high heat. Add the sausage and cook for 5 minutes, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon. Add the mushrooms, onion, and Italian seasoning, and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes more. Stir in the marinara sauce and cook until heated through.
  2. Scoop the sausage filling into the pepper halves.
  3. Set the air fryer to 176°C. Arrange the peppers in a single layer in the two air fryer drawers. Air fry for 15 minutes.
  4. Top the stuffed peppers with the cheese and air fry for 3 to 5 minutes more, until the cheese is melted and the peppers are tender.
