Ingredients

  • 2 mackerel fillets 
  • 2 tbsp 
  • miso 
  • 50ml water 
  • tsp 
  • sake 
  • 2 tbsp sugar 
  • 1/2 tbsp soy sauce 
  • 1 1/3 tbsp mirin 
  • 1/2 knob ginger, shredded 
  • Ninja CRISPi - FN101

Directions

  1. Prepare the mackerel: Make shallow cuts on the skin side, sprinkle with salt, let sit for 10 minutes, rinse and pat dry.
  2. In a glass container, mix all ingredients to create the simmering sauce.
  3. Set the

  6. to ROAST for 
  7. 5 minutes and press START to heat the sauce.
  8. Place the mackerel skin-side up, and 
  9. cover 
  10. with the sauce.
  11. Set the

  14. to ROAST 
  15. mode for 6 minutes and press START.
  16. Once done, plate the mackerel and optionally 
  17. run RECRISP mode for 3 minutes 
  18. to 
  19. crisp up mackerel skin.
  20. Serve the mackerel with the thickened sauce poured over.
