Miso Simmered Mackerel (Saba Miso)

Ingredients
- 2 mackerel fillets 
- 2 tbsp 
- miso 
- 50ml water 
- 1 
- tsp 
- sake 
- 2 tbsp sugar 
- 1/2 tbsp soy sauce 
- 1 1/3 tbsp mirin 
- 1/2 knob ginger, shredded 
- Ninja CRISPi - FN101
Directions
- Prepare the mackerel: Make shallow cuts on the skin side, sprinkle with salt, let sit for 10 minutes, rinse and pat dry.
- In a glass container, mix all ingredients to create the simmering sauce.
- Set the

- to ROAST for 
- 5 minutes and press START to heat the sauce.
- Place the mackerel skin-side up, and 
- cover 
- with the sauce.

- Once done, plate the mackerel and optionally 
- run RECRISP mode for 3 minutes 
- to 
- crisp up mackerel skin.
- Serve the mackerel with the thickened sauce poured over.
