Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon brewed espresso or strong coffee
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 tablespoon coffee liqueur
  • Ninja CREAMi Ice Cream Maker-NC300

Directions

  1. Mix the sugar, cocoa powder, and sea salt in a large saucepan. Stir in water, espresso, and almond extract. Once the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is smooth, stir in the coffee liqueur.
  2. Pour into a ninja CREAMi Pint container and freeze on a level surface in a cold freezer for a full 24 hours.
  3. After 24 hours, remove the Pint from the freezer. Remove the lid.
  4. Place the Ninja CREAMi Pint into the outer bowl. Place the outer bowl with the Pint in it into the ninja CREAMi machine and turn until the outer bowl locks into place. Push the SORBET button. During the SORBET function, the sorbet will mix together and become very creamy. This should take approximately 2 minutes.
  5. 5. Once the SORBET function has ended, turn the outer bowl and release it from the ninja CREAMi machine.
